The official Jeri Lynn Ryan Homepage is reporting that Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) has been cast in 'Wes Craven Presents: racula 2000', a film produced by horror expert Wes Craven. Ryan's role in the film will be a "New Orleans-based journalist searching for the vampire". She told the JLR Homepage that her role in the film will be a small one, and that she will be filming for it in summer.

The film will be directed by Patrick Lussier, who served as editor on many of Craven's films (including the entire 'Scream' trilogy), before making his debut as director with this year's 'Prophecy III: The Ascent'. One of the main actors in the film is Christopher Plummer, who also appeared in 'Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country' as General Chang.

According to the IMDB listing, the film deals with a London antiques dealer, probably played by Plummer, who travels to America to find his daughter and save her from his longtime nemesis, Dracula. The film is currently scheduled for a December 22 release.
