April Fool's Day Posts

As has almost become a tradition for the online Trek world, several sites launched April Fool's pranks today. Here's a round-up of all the ones I could find:

  • Fandom's Star Trek Central is reporting Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) will be taking on a special responsibility next season - she'll be playing two main characters on the show. Apparently, this year's season finale will see a duplicate of Seven being created (similar to what happened to Riker in 'Second Chances') who will take on the name of Nine. As a result, Ryan will now be listed twice in the show's main credits.

  • The German Corona WebBEAT is reporting that, in addition to Series V, Paramount has now also greenlighted a Series VI. The series will feature Captain Sulu and the U.S.S. Excelsior, a concept that was recently the subject of a major fan campaign.

  • From our own Trek BBS - Kate Mulgrew leaving Voyager early!

  • John Cook at Sev Trek has revealed some important info about the upcoming Sev Trek Movie - it'll be the Sev Musical, featuring songs such as 'I just can't wait to be Captain', 'How do you solve a problem like the Counsellor?' and 'Warped Lightning'.

  • Jim Wright decided to rework his 'Delta Blues' Voyager reviews page into Tesh Town USA, a fan site for the great John Tesh.

  • Corona WebBEAT is also reporting about illegal 'Voyager' and 'Deep Space Nine' DVDs being imported by the thousands from Hong Kong.
