  • The Armchair Empire has posted a review of the real time strategy game, 'Star Trek: Armada II'. "As a Trek game Star Trek Armada II is above average, but as a RTS game it’s simply standard," wrote 'Omni'. "It does well what all RTS games should do and it's fun to play. It expands on aspects of the original game and provides some solid hours of gaming - plus Patrick Stewart! What more should we expect?" In the complete analysis, the game was awarded a score of 7.8 out of 10.

  • David Washington at Game Club Central was also positive about the game, which he rated an 8 out of 10. Here's an extract from his review:

In the end, Armada II is definitely a better strategy game than its predecessor. In fact, overall it is one of the quality titles the genre has to offer. However, It still does not manage to surpass the quality of games like Homeworld or Conquest: Frontier Wars, games that do a better job of recreating the Star Trek experience than Armada. Trekkers will find a lot to like with Armada II, but everyone else may want to turn to the more solid, polished products that are currently on the market.

  • "Once everything is up and running Armada 2 offers a very engrossing fleet strategy experience that runs the gamut of human emotion," wrote Game Zone's ''Rgerbino'. "In this particular case I wish I were Vulcan. Yes it got to the point where crashes made me cry, but they were only to the desktop not complete lockups. The shear amount of in depth gameplay options, and the absorbing storyline almost make it all worthwhile." 'Armada II' scored an 8 out of 10 in the complete analysis.

  • Bridge Commander Universe has posted a list of online retailers currently taking pre-orders for 'Star Trek: Bridge Commander.'
