With the holidays approaching, another cool gadget to give to the techy Star Trek fan is a Vulcan USB flash drive.  The case for the flash drive is based on the split-finger “Live long and prosper” Vulcan greeting, well-known to Star Trek fans.

The USB flash drive has 2GB of memory and sells for $35.99.

Several new commercials are airing, each offering a few seconds of never-before seen material.

As reported by TrekMovie.com, the short commercials are mostly comprised of scenes that fans have viewed before, but the new commercials are worth viewing for the new bits, one of which shows damage on Vulcan.

Vulcan To Get Star Trek XI Sneak Peak

The logistics were just too daunting for the small town of Vulcan, Canada to host the world premiere of Star Trek XI, but Paramount was able to come up with a logical compromise.

As reported by CBCnews.ca, Leonard Nimoy‘s assistance to Vulcan paid off and three hundred of its residents will get to see Star Trek XI two days ahead of the rest of North America. (more…)

Nimoy: Bring Star Trek XI To Vulcan

The Town of Vulcan got unexpected support in their campaign to host the premiere of Star Trek XI when Leonard Nimoy read about it on the Internet and made a phone call.

As reported by The Calgary Herald, Vulcan Tourism Coordinator Dayna Dickens thought she was being “punked” when she received the phone call from Mr. Spock himself. “I was courteous and professional,” said Dickens. “We are in a bit of a target position.” (more…)
