J.J. Abrams and five of the Star Trek into Darkness actors appeared recently in a short segment on Entertainment Tonight to promote the movie.
The actors spoke of the friendships developed over the time making both Star Trek and Star Trek into Darkness.

A new short video featuring Karl Urban (Dr. McCoy) has been posted at the Are You #THE1701? website.
Slightly more than a minute long, the video begins with a clip where McCoy and others are on the run from disgruntled natives of a planet.

Karl Urban, Star Trek into Darkness‘ Doctor McCoy, explained what makes this film different than the first one, and what he really meant by a quote of his last summer regarding Benedict Cumberbatch, a quote that had set tongues wagging.
While the last film was setting up the characters, Star Trek into Darkness is about relationships, said Urban.

Videos and pictures have begun appearing online for the Sydney Australia Star Trek into Darkness premiere.
The videos and pictures include the red carpet appearance of the stars, and the introduction to the movie by J.J. Abrams.

Karl Urban will again be working with J.J. Abrams, this time in Abrams’s new cop drama pilot.
Urban will be starring in Human, a futuristic cop thriller.

Star Trek’s Karl Urban will join Willow Shields (The Hunger Games) and Leehom Wang (Lust, Caution) in The Wonder.
The Wonder is a family-oriented 3D action-adventure film which will be directed by Ron Underwood.

For Karl Urban, finding out what makes Judge Dredd tick and how Dredd reacts to internal conflict when he begins to question his role is what makes the character exciting and interesting.
Judge Dredd is a law enforcer in the metropolis of Mega-City One, who is given the power of judge, jury and executioner in the post-apocalyptic wasteland. Dredd 3D is based on the 2000 AD Judge Dredd comic.

Karl Urban recently explained what happened to him in the aftermath of his Benedict Cumberbatch Star Trek 2 character disclosure.
While being interviewed about his work on Dredd, Urban also spoke about character development and the secrecy surrounding Star Trek 2.

In an interview with TrekMovie.com, Star Trek 2 Co-writer Roberto Orci cleared up some information regarding some characters to appear on Star Trek 2 – well, perhaps.
Orci again debunked a rumor about the character to be played by Benedict Cumberbatch, and explained which characters played by actors new to the franchise would be portraying canon characters and which would not.

After last week’s revelation from Karl Urban regarding the role that Benedict Cumberbatch would be playing in Star Trek 2, the actor had an excuse for his loose lips.
Fans were not sure if Urban’s comments were true and a slip-up on the part of the actor, or just a bit of trickery and misdirection. But in a recent interview, Urban explained why he seemingly misspoke.

An inadvertent slip by Karl Urban may have let slip the name of the villain for Star Trek 2.
While doing promotion for Dredd for SFX, Urban’s comment on Benedict Cumberbatch may have revealed the character being played by Cumberbatch in Star Trek 2.

Simon Pegg and Karl Urban took time out from shooting Star Trek to wish a Happy Birthday to 2000 AD Comics, which is celebrating thirty-five years.
Karl Urban, Star Trek XI‘s Dr. McCoy, and Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia) have been cast as a pair of car-thief brothers in Overdrive.
Overdrive, directed by Antonia Negret, will feature the brothers who “find more trouble than they are looking for in the South of France.”
Filming for Overdrive will begin October 29 in Marseilles.
Not only the fans are eager for the return of Star Trek, but so is Karl Urban.
Urban has other irons in the fire, but his mind is looking ahead to Star Trek 2. “I’ve got Priest coming out next week,” he said, “it’s a kickass, post-apocalyptic vampire western, and then I’m going to start working on a new Star Trek film towards the end of the year. You know, when J.J. [Abrams] is ready. When he says, ‘Let’s come and play’.”
