Julie Cobb once played Yeoman Leslie Thompson, a redshirt who lost her life in the original series’ By Any Other Name.

In the episode, Thompson was reduced to a cube, which was than crushed by the Kelvan alien Rojan.


Thompson To Join Arrow

Susanna Thompson, best-known to Star Trek: Voyager fans for her role as the Borg Queen, and to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine fans as Lenara Khan (Rejoined) has been signed for a role on The CW’s Arrow pilot.

Thompson will play Moira Queen, the mother of Oliver Queen, a wealthy playboy who is also the vigilante superhero Green Arrow.


Thompson: Nero’s Wife

Although her role was small, Scottie Thompson‘s character was important to Star Trek XI as her death was the motivation for Nero’s rage and subsequent actions toward Vulcan.

According to the producer, Thompson’s looks helped land the role. “You have an alien look to you,” he told her, which made her perfect to portray a Romulan.


Thompson And Weddle Join CSI

Former Star Trek: Deep Space Nine writers Bradley Thompson and David Weddle have written several episodes for CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, one of which will air on April 15.

As reported by CSI Files, Thompson and Weddle, who joined CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as supervising producers last summer, will get back to their science fiction roots with A Space Oddity, in which the CSI team investigates a murder that takes place at a science-fiction convention. (more…)
