Another Famous Scot Joins Starfleet

While Scotty may be the most famous Scotsman in Starfleet, another well-known Scotsman has joined another Starfleet – Starfleet, the International Fan Association.

Earlier this fall, The Scottish First Minister, Alex Salmond, became a full-fledged member of the fan association after an invitation was extended to him which was accepted by the First Minister.

Fontana To Judge Trek Fan Fiction Contest

STARFLEET, the world’s oldest and largest continuously-active Star Trek fan club, has announced that one of its guest judges for the second annual STARFLEET Short Story Contest is none other than Dorothy (D.C.) Fontana.

Authors will need to be members of STARFLEET to submit their Star Trek fan fiction, which should not exceed 7,500 words in length and which must take place within the fictional science fiction universe of Star Trek.
