Legohacker: Star Wars Into Star Trek

One twelve-year-old boy, known online as “Legohacker” has figured out the trick of turning official Star Wars Lego sets into Star Trek ships.

Some four-year-olds will create art with Play-Doh or use crayons to create artistic masterpieces, but Legohacker was a bit different than his age-contemporaries, according to his father, Jon Ippolito. “When I had kids I was eager to see what kind of creativity they would spill on a page full of crayon drawings or a lump of Play Dough or, in this case, a bunch of Legos,” he said. “I was pretty astonished to see how sophisticated the kind of thinking outside the box they did was.”

Orci And Kurtzman: Star Trek Vs. Star Wars

The co-writers of Star Trek XI have figured out Star Trek’s missing ingredient.

As reported by TrekMovie.com, Star Trek XI Co-writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman feel that although a Christmas release for Star Trek XI would have been fine, the movie is strong enough to be a summer hit. “Obviously we were comfortable for Christmas, because that was its niche,” said Orci. “But we all feel it can sustain what it needs to sustain in the summer. One of the things we said early on is that Star Wars and Star Trek are always the ones being compared to each other by certain people. Why is Star Wars able to surpass all of that even though they’re all in space and some characters are similar? It just felt like Star Wars had a little more rock and roll than Star Trek had.” (more…)
