Star Trek Online Not Dying

Cryptic Executive Producer Dan Stahl made an appearance in the Star Trek Online community to address rumors, including one that the online game is in trouble.

One poster started a thread that claimed that “Cryptic is in a really bad place right now,” and that thread drew the attention of Stahl.


Stahl Exits Star Trek: Online

Star Trek: Online Executive Producer Daniel Stahl has resigned from Cryptic Studios and will depart at the end of the month.

Last year, Stahl replaced Craig Zinkievich, and Stahl will be replaced temporarily by CTO Stephen D’Angelo until a permanent executive producer can be found.

A year ago, Star Trek: Online, the Star Trek-themed MMORPG, debuted and the game continues to evolve and change.

Star Trek: Online Executive Producer Daniel Stahl updated fans on the progress of the game, and thanked them for their patronage. “This last year has been a great one for Star Trek: Online and I can’t emphasize enough how much fans have contributed to our success,” he said.
