TNG Cast To Reunite At Calgary

Fans attending the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo in Calgary, Canada, this spring will be able to see nine castmembers from Star Trek: The Next Generation in the same place.

The Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo will be held from April 27-29 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Sirtis On Star Trek: The Next Generation Blu-ray

Marina Sirtis may not be a technology geek, but she liked what she saw when introduced to the Blu-ray version of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

“I’m a total Luddite, not good with any technology at all,” she said. “I was not prepared to be impressed when I went to CBS to see what they were doing with the Blu-ray, but it was amazing.”

Sirtis: I Should Have Spoken Up More

If Marina Sirtis could go back in time and do Star Trek: The Next Generation again, there is something that she would change about her own behavior.

One of Sirtis’ regrets is that she didn’t think more about Troi’s own story, but at the time she did The Next Generation, Sirtis was content with what was happening. “Hindsight is 20-20, isn’t it,” she said ruefully. “I have to be honest with you and say that, at the time, I was perfectly happy.”

Sirtis: I Never Wanted TNG To End

Marina Sirtis would love to do Star Trek: The Next Generation again, but she realizes that if it ever returns as a movie, it would be cast with a new crop of actors, just as the original series has been recast in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek XI.

“I would have done ten more movies,” Sirtis said, when asked if she would have done another The Next Generation movie.

The Real Marina Sirtis

In a new interview with Kougar Magazine, Marina Sirtis lets her hair down and discusses everything from her career and the expectations of Hollywood, to middle-aged sexuality.

One of the benefits of being a Hollywood actress that Sirtis enjoyed was being a sex symbol. Even though she is a feminist, she did not find the two incompatible. “People say to me, because I’m a bit of a feminist with a small ‘f,’ people say, ‘How can you be a feminist when people regard you as a sex symbol?’” To answer those people, Sirtis refers back to her past.

Spring Trek Convention And Show Guide

In a new monthly feature for TrekToday, fans can see just which conventions or shows will be featuring Star Trek actors who were regulars or guest stars on various Star Trek shows or movies.

There will be four conventions or shows in April and May that feature Trek actors of interest, including: Sci-Fi on the Rock, Hollywood Show, Vulcan, and Phoenix Comicon.

Sirtis On The Next Generation Movies And Abrams Trek

Of the four Star Trek: The Next Generation movies, Marina Sirtis liked one of them better than the rest.

“My favorite of all the movies was First Contact,” said Sirtis. “I thought it was a great script and loved being directed by Jonathan [Frakes]. The others I liked in varying degrees but it was always a joy working with my lovely cast. After the series ended I think we all looked forward to working together again.”

Family Guy The Next Generation Photo Released

Fox has released a photo from the forthcoming Family Guy: Not All Dogs Go to Heaven episode.

As reported by Comics Continuum, A new photo for the Family Guy “Star Trek: The Next Generation” episode was released today, showing the Next Generation crewmembers standing in a transporter with Stewie standing in front of them.

According to the episode description, “The Griffin family heads to the annual Quahog Star Trek convention, but Stewie blows a fuse when he doesn’t get a chance to ask his favorite Next Generation cast members any questions. He devises a plan, builds a transporter and beams the entire cast to his bedroom so they can spend a fun-filled day together in Quahog.”

The main cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation voiced their respective characters. Not All Dogs Go to Heaven airs on Sunday, March 29.

Star Trek Family Guy To Air Next Month

In March, a new Family Guy episode will air on FOX featuring a Star Trek: The Next Generation story.

As reported by SF Universe, Star Trek: The Next Generation actors will be voicing their characters in the forthcoming Not All Dogs Go to Heaven episode of Family Guy, including Patrick Stewart, LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton, Denise Crosby, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes.
