Cumberbatch TvChoice Award Winner

Benedict Cumberbatch, the mystery villain of Star Trek Into Darkness, won two awards at the 16th TVChoice awards last night.

Both of Cumberbatch’s awards came as a result of his work on the BBC’s Sherlock.

Cumberbatch won one award for Best Actor, and another for Sherlock, which won for Best Drama Series.

Cumberbatch to Play Trek 2 Villain

Benedict Cumberbatch is the latest actor to sign up for a role in Star Trek 2.

According to Variety, Cumberbatch will be playing the villain in Star Trek 2. He joins other British Trek newcomers Alice Eve and Noel Clarke.

Cumberbatch is best known to British fans as Sherlock Holmes on the BBC Sherlock series, and he recently appeared in Steven Spielberg‘s War Horse, which opened on Christmas Day.

Star Trek 2 will release next May.
