Star Trek XI had a respectable showing at the Scream 2009 awards this weekend, walking away with a half dozen awards, including the biggest one of all.

Although the vampire shows and movies were popular award choices, Star Trek XI did quite well, picking up at least six of the seventeen nominations for which it was nominated.

Spike TV announced the nominees for Scream 2009 and Star Trek XI led the pack with seventeen nominations.

The Fourth Annual Scream awards, honoring the best in science-fiction, fantasy, horror and comics, will be taped in Los Angeles on October 17 and will air on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 27 at 10 P.M.
