Roddenberry Entertainment has partnered with Nerdist Industries to launch a new free Star Trek podcast series.
The new series is Mission Log, which is “an entertaining and provocative examination of the legendary franchise’s more than seven hundred hours of television programming.”

With a little more than a month to go until Walter Koenig is inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the goal of reaching the amount of funding necessary for the star installation has been met.
The finish line was crossed courtesy of a donation from someone very familiar to Star Trek fans.

Trek Nation, the Rod Roddenberry documentary, will be shown at San Diego’s Birch North Park Theater on July 12 at 7 PM as a kick-off to the San Diego Comic Con.
“Through exclusive footage and interviews with devoted fans, including George Lucas, J.J. Abrams, Seth MacFarlane and many notable Star Trek alumni, Trek Nation chronicles a son’s journey to discover his father and the creation that helped define modern-day science fiction.”
Airing tomorrow, November 30, on the Science Channel at 8 PM, Trek Nation, produced and narrated by Rod Roddenberry, is a documentary about Gene Roddenberry, Star Trek, and the people involved with Star Trek over the years.
In making Trek Nation, Rod Roddenberry interviewed those who worked with his father over the years, including industry professionals who knew Gene Roddenberry, family friends, and Star Trek fans.

The Roddenberry Center for Stem Cell Biology and Medicine at Gladstone has been created to honor the legacy of Star Trek Creator Gene Roddenberry.
The Roddenberry Foundation, co-founded by Rod Roddenberry, donated five million dollars to establish the Center, which will “build on Gladstone’s existing expertise in stem cell science, helping to speed the process by which discoveries are turned into therapies for a host of devastating illnesses.”
Rod Roddenberry‘s documentary, Trek Nation, will be airing on the Science Channel in November.
Trek Nation was produced and narrated by Roddenberry, who is the son of the late Gene and Majel Barrett Roddenberry. The documentary has been eight years in the making.
Rod Roddenberry‘s Roddenberry Entertainment will join Social Animal to produce a “first-of-it’s-kind 360°” film project called White Room: 02B3.
According to a press release, “White Room: 02B3 will transport the audience into 360 degrees of intensity as six strangers find themselves unwillfully participating in an experiment that could change the face of humanity. Roddenberry Entertainment’s Tory Mell penned the project upon executives recognizing the opportunity that the unique 360° video camera provides. The system consists of nine 2K cameras shooting off mirrors to capture a high quality panoramic video with no gaps or distortion.”
Gene Roddenberry‘s son Rod Roddenberry is auctioning off items once belonging to his parents to raise money for the people of Haiti.
Like so many, Rod’s heart was touched by the devastation caused by the 7.0 earthquake in Haiti. “Here’s the deal, there are a lot of people suffering in Haiti right now and we can all do something about it,” he said.

Gene Roddenberry‘s son Rod announced that Roddenberry Productions has entered into a deal to develop one of his father’s projects from the 1970s.
At the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame ceremony where his father was posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame, Rod Roddenberry announced that Roddenberry Productions has entered into a deal with Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Television to develop The Questor Tapes.
Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry, son of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, has announced the $100,000 Challenge for the Oceans” campaign.
The $100,000 Challenge for the Oceans is a holiday fundraiser for the San Diego Oceans Foundation, in which residents can donate and have their donations matched by Roddenberry.
According to Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry Jr., only son of Gene and Majel Barrett Roddenberry, Star Trek XI would have received a strong thumbs up from his father.
As reported by Mania.com, in the first part of a two-part interview, Rod Roddenberry explained that his father had been ready to hand the reins of Star Trek over to someone new. “I think he would love it,” said Roddenberry. “I think he would put his arm around J.J.
