The podcast will be titled “Quark’s Bar,” and will be hosted by Rob Wainfur (The Bearded Trio) and Carl Eggett.

The new series is Mission Log, which is “an entertaining and provocative examination of the legendary franchise’s more than seven hundred hours of television programming.”


Shimerman Podcast: Life After Trek

The seventeenth episode of Subspace Communique‘s Life After Trek podcast series features Deep Space Nine‘s Armin Shimerman.

In this latest installment of Life After Trek, the topics will include: Shimerman’s beginnings in Hollywood, the stage, and his work – past, present and future. Shimerman’s present work includes a new film, The Sublime and Beautiful, which will begin filming this month.

Transporter Room 3 Podcast Series Debuts

For fans who like Trek talk, IGN has started a new Star Trek-only podcast, Transporter Room 3, and the first half-hour episode covers topics from the first two televised series.

Transporter Room 3 is “not for the weak of heart” or for “anyone who is afraid of seriously obsessive geek-out sessions.” Indeed, in the first episode, one of the topics is “Which Riker do you prefer – transporter accident Tom Riker or bushy-bearded alternate universe ‘The Borg are everywhere!’ Riker.”

Other topics in this first podcast include William Shatner’s The Captains documentary and the forthcoming Blu-ray release of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
