Picardo: I Think I’ve Got The Worst Part

Star Trek: Voyager‘s Robert Picardo shared his memories of joining Voyager and of the first episode, Caretaker.

Picardo was the last actor to work on the pilot which was a bit daunting. “I was the last guy to come in, and everybody else had already established relationships,” he said. “So I come in and say ‘Hello,’ and everyone knew each other already. That meant that there was that little feeling of I had to prove myself.”

Picardo To Divorce

Star Trek: Voyager’s Robert Picardo (EMH) has filed for divorce.

Picardo and wife Linda Palwik were married in October 1984 and have been married for almost twenty-seven years.

Picardo filed the divorce papers in Los Angeles last week, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause of the marital break up.

The couple has two daughters, aged twenty and thirteen.

Picardo Wants Trek Cameo

If Star Trek: Voyager‘s Robert Picardo has his way, fans will see him in the third J.J. AbramsStar Trek movie.

Picardo, best-known to Trek fans for his role as the EMH on Voyager, has met Abrams and he is a big fan of the Abrams’ Star Trek  reboot.

Picardo: Star Trek Was Life-Changing

Although he had a television resume dating back to the 1970s, Robert Picardo‘s life changed after signing on for Star Trek: Voyager.

Part of the reason that Star Trek was so different was the fandom associated with it. “One of the odd things about getting a Star Trek role that doesn’t have anything to do with any other kind of television show is that the moment your agent calls and says, ‘Well, you got the part,’ you also got your first two convention offers,” said Picardo.

Picardo: Playing Scrooge

Once again, this time in the role of Scrooge,  in a CD recording of A Christmas Carol,  Robert Picardo is playing a “cranky curmudgeon.”

A call from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine‘s Chase Masterson (Leeta), who took on the role of Mrs. Fezziwig, set the wheels in motion for the musical CD, based on 1970′s musical Scrooge.

Picardo In Kiddie Christmas Movie

Robert Picardo, Star Trek: Voyager‘s EMH, will be seen this holiday season in the newest entry in the Beethoven movie series.

Back in 1992, Beethoven, a movie featuring a St. Bernard dog, arrived in theaters. It was followed by five sequels, and the sixth, Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure, was released yesterday.

Mulgrew: Trek Fans Always Supportive

When Star Trek Voyager‘s Kate Mulgrew took on the role of Kove in National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility (NTSF:SD:SUV), she knew her Star Trek fans would be supportive.

Mulgrew’s character, Kove, is “definitely obsessed with Trent, obsessed with sex and obsessed with herself and her hairdo,” explained Mulgrew.

Star Trek: The Exhibition Debuts In Louisville Sunday

Star Trek: The Exhibition will open at the Louisville Science Center in Kentucky on Sunday, January 23.

A special event, Science With a Twist: An Evening Aboard The Enterprise, will be held for fans the night before the opening at 7 PM, with Robert Picardo (Star Trek: Voyager’s EMH) making a special appearance.

Trek Auction Fetches Almost $300,000

Earlier this month, a Star Trek auction by Propworx was held at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel, as reported by TrekToday; featuring props, furniture, artwork, models and costumes.

Two pieces from the original series era commanded the highest prices, while a photo of Data’s cat Spot brought in more than ten times its estimated value.

Creation Hopes To Break Guiness World Record At Vegas Convention This Week

In addition to hosting over seventy Star Trek celebs at their annual Las Vegas Star Trek Convention, running this week from Thursday through Sunday at the Las Vegas Hilton, Creation Entertainment is gunning for the Guiness World Record for the “largest gathering of people dressed as Star Trek characters.”
