Cinematographer Don Peterman died earlier this month at his home in Hollywood of complications from myelodysplastic syndrome, a “pre-leukemia” bone marrow disorder.
Peterman was nominated for an Academy Award for 1986′s Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, losing out to Chris Menges (The Mission). He was also nominated for an Academy Award in 1983 for Flashdance.
