Nimoy had funded Symphony Space, a performing arts center on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and one of its two theaters bears his name.


Spock Documentary Close To Funding Goal

Adam Nimoy‘s documentary on his father, For the Love of Spock, has raised much of the money necessary for the movie but more is needed to hit the goal of $600,000 before the fundraiser expires on July 1.

The documentary will only be created if the entire amount is funded.

An asteroid that is in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter has been named for Leonard Nimoy.

The asteroid, discovered in 1988 was formerly designated as 1988 RA5.
