Giacchino Tour Arrives In North America

Beginning this weekend, Michael Giacchino‘s Star Trek Live performances will take place in the US.

The performances includes screenings of Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek into Darkness with a full orchestra.

Trek Composer Donates Music Collection

Jay Chattaway, an Emmy-winning composer who wrote musical scores for four of the five televised Star Trek series, has donated his entire Star Trek music collection to West Virginia University’s School of Music.

Chattaway is a graduate of WVU’s College of Creative Arts.

Rosenman Star Trek IV Score Released

For fans of the music from Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, the complete Leonard Rosenman score to the movie has just been released.

The CD is seventy-one minutes long, and includes twenty-four tracks, including bonus tracks.

Star Wars Score Edges Star Trek In Music Poll

Total Sci-Fi‘s Best Sci-Fi Movie Soundtrack Of All Time is out and a Star Trek score finished second to Star Wars.

John Williams‘ score for the original Star Wars has been named the best sci-fi movie soundtrack of all time in a new Total Sci-Fi poll.
