Mulgrew Donates Star Trek: Voyager Scripts For Auction

Two Star Trek: Voyager scripts have been donated by Kate Mulgrew (Janeway) to be auctioned to raise funds for an acting studio.

As reported by Kate Mulgrew’s Official Website Blog, scripts from Star Trek: Voyager: Distant Origin and Star Trek: Voyager: Basics Part I are up for sale at ebay with the proceeds to benefit the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. (more…)

Christmas Hallmark Star Trek Ornaments

Three new Star Trek ornaments can been seen online at Hallmark.com. The first new ornament is a Klingon Battle Cruiser that lights up and is battery operated.

A radiation-scarred Captain Christopher Pike is featured on the second ornament, along with Kirk and Spock. This ornament has a conversation between Kirk and Spock taken from The Menagerie, and Pike’s chair lights up.

The third ornament is a Starfleet Phaser. The phaser ornament has a sound clip between Kirk and Spock taken from “Conscience of the King,” as well as the sound of a phaser on overload.

The ornaments will appear this summer, and in the autumn. (more…)

Mulgrew in Iowa

As reported by The Telegraph Herald, Kate Mulgrew (Kathryn Janeway,) will be the keynote speaker at the Dubuque County (Iowa) Democrats’ annual Hall of Fame Banquet on Tuesday, April 28.

Mulgrew’s father, T.J., will be inducted posthumously into the Hall of Fame.

Tickets at the door are &_#36;40, and the reception and banquet will be held at Happy’s Place, 2323 Rockdale Road, Dubuque. (more…)

Creation Convention With Nimoy And Mulgrew

This July, fans in the New Jersey area can see Leonard Nimoy in his first convention appearance following the May release of Star Trek XI.

As reported by Creation Convention will feature seven Star Trek actors; ranging from Leonard Nimoy of the original series, to Connor Trinneer and John Billingsley of Star Trek: Enterprise.

Mulgrew On Acting, Life And Politics

Being good at one’s craft requires discipline and sacrifice, according to actress Kate Mulgrew.

As reported by Totally Kate, Mulgrew, currently appearing in Equus as Hester Saloman, is preparing for her next role where she will portray Maria Callas in The Master Class. Getting ready for the role of the opera star means research for Mulgrew. “I’m in the middle of it,” explained Mulgrew. “I’ve got every single thing she ever sang and every documentary that we could get, and all the literature and I’m right in the middle of it. It’s extremely dense, the research for this, because there’s so much available to me. Do you know? I feel really torn. (more…)
