Star Trek: Voyager‘s Jeri Ryan appreciates her time on the show as Seven of Nine.

Years after Star Trek: Voyager finished airing, Ryan is still recognized for her role as the former Borg Seven of Nine and grateful for her continuing work after the end of the series. “I’m really lucky to have been given a role that was so beautifully written, that was so rich to play as an actor and which became an iconic character,” she said.

Jeri Ryan, best known to Star Trek: Voyager fans as Seven of Nine, will be appearing in the summer finale of Leverage, in The Lost Heir Job episode.

Ryan will portray Tara, a new recurring character, on tonight’s episode of Leverage, which airs at 9:00 P.M. on TNT. In The Lost Heir Job, a crooked lawyer schemes to take over his client’s estate and Parker (Beth Riesgraf) pretends to be the client’s long-lost daughter to lay claim to the estate and thwart the lawyer.

Now that the Leverage episode in which Wil Wheaton appeared has aired, an incident mentioned in Wheaton’s blog (July 17th entry) is finally explained.

Sometimes, when making a television show or filming a movie, the unexpected happens. “We were shooting a bunch of footage for the security cams where you see Chaos [Wheaton] outside,” Wheaton explained. “There’s that scene where you see Chaos standing outside Sophie’s apartment building, getting ready to take those flowers in, and we were shooting it in an actual apartment building, on a real street, with people walking around and somehow this woman got past our PAs.”

Wil Wheaton‘s Leverage episode airs tomorrow night on TNT.

Playing a high-tech whiz wasn’t much of a stretch for Wheaton, unlike other roles he has played in the past. “I didn’t have to work too hard on that one,” he said of his role as Chaos.

Wheaton plays a hacker villain who is in computer combat with Leverage’s Alec (Aldis Hodge) in The Two Live Crew Job. “The underside of competition is really fun to explore,” said Wheaton.
