			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><em>Star Trek XI</em> has returned to IMAX theaters for a limited engagement after having been replaced by <em>Night At The Museum</em>.</p>
<p>Fans who missed the initial IMAX run of <em>Star Trek XI</em> are in luck, as the movie has returned to some IMAX theaters for an additional two-week run.</p>

<p>Tickets at the door are &#038;_#36;40, and the reception and banquet will be held at Happy&#8217;s Place, 2323 Rockdale Road, Dubuque.<span id="more-5593"></span><br /><b>Detroit IMAX Adds May 7 Star Trek XI Showings</b></p>
<p>The Detroit Science Center, temporary home of <i>Star Trek: The Exhibition</i>, announced in a press release that they have added two earlier showings of <i>Star Trek XI</i>.</p>
<p><i>Star Trek XI</i> will be shown at the Detroit Science Center&#8217;s Chrysler IMAX Dome Theater, beginning on May 7. The two new showings are at 7 P.M. and at 9:30 P.M. on that day. The showings will be preceded by launch activities beginning at 5 P.M. <i>Star Trek</i> trivia will be shown on the Science Stage at both 6 P.M. and 8 P.M. and a costume contest will run from 5 to 9 P.M.</p>
<p>The Detroit Science Center is located at 5020 John R. Street in Detroit, Michigan.</p>
<p><b>New Star Trek: The Animated Series Fan Film</b></p>
<p>Fans who enjoyed <i>Star Trek: The Animated Series</i> will be pleased to hear that it lives on, courtesy of <b>Curt Danhauser</b>. </p>
<p><i>And Let the Heavens Fall</i>, the first new animated <i>Star Trek</i> in thirty-five years, has been completed and is online at <a href="http://www.danhausertrek.com/">Danhauser&#8217;s Guide to the Animated Star Trek website</a>. <i>And Let the Heavens Fall</i> tells the story of what happens when the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise comes across a planet with a pre-industrial civilization that seems to be sending radio transmissions into space. While rendering aid to a crippled courier ship in orbit of the planet, they wonder if the two situations are related.</p>
<p>Created on the Macintosh using iMovie, QuickTime Pro, Adobe PhotoShop and Sound Studio 3, the fan film is a half-hour long and in three parts.</p>
<p>In addition to the newly-finished episode, Danhauser&#8217;s site offers an episode guide to <i>Star Trek: The Animated Series</i>, with a synopsis, cast of characters, photos and notes for each episode of the series. </p>

<p>As reported by <a href="www.detroitsciencecenter.org">The Detroit Science Center</a>, Detroit is the place for <i>Star Trek</i> fans to be this May to get a double dose of <i>Star Trek</i>.<span id="more-5533"></span>In addition to being the host of <i>Star Trek: The Exhibition,</i> the Detroit Science Center will be offering showings of <i>Star Trek XI</i> at its Chrysler Imax Dome Theater, beginning on May 8th when the movie is released in the U.S.</p>
<p>&#8220;The combination of the IMAX film and Exhibition will provide an unmatched <i>Star Trek</i> experience for our visitors,&#8221; said Detroit Science Center Vice President of Science Programs <b>Todd Slisher</b>. &#8220;The viewing area on the IMAX Dome covers 5,365 square feet of the screen, making it the largest film screen in the state and the best theater environment to experience <i>Star Trek</i>. You&#8217;ll truly feel like you&#8217;re a part of the action.&#8221;</p>
<p>Fans can purchase a ticket for the movie only, or buy a combination ticket for both the film and for entrance into <i>Star Trek: The Exhibition</i>. </p>
