Major Networks Announce Fall Shows

More news on shows involving Star Trek actors, producers or writers has emerged from Hollywood, with some shows making the cut while others got the ax.

From the three big networks, first up is CBS, which announced that William Shatner‘s $#*! My Dad Says has been cancelled after airing eighteen episodes.


Kurtzman And Orci Hawaii Five-O A Go

CBS has said OK to an updated version of the famous cop series set in Hawaii.

Back in October, it was announced that Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci were working on a remake of the classic Hawaii Five-O series for CBS, teaming with CSI:New York Producer Peter Lenkov.

When planning the next Star Trek movie, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci want to recreate what they loved about Star Trek when they were children watching the show.

One of the common elements of a good movie sequel is when a character or several characters are tested in some way. “Every franchise has a different need, so you have to look at them differently, based on whatever the mandate is. You need to be able to not have seen the first movie to appreciate the second one,” explained Kurtzman.
