Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Whoopi Goldberg is seeking funding in hopes of making a documentary about comedian Moms Mabley.
Moms Mabley (Loretta Mary Aiken) was a comedy pioneer who influenced Goldberg. “Moms Mabley was a pioneer in the comedy world and this documentary will showcase her talent and pay homage to a woman who is still relevant today,” said Goldberg. “Without Moms there certainly would not have been a Whoopi.”
Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Whoopi Goldberg (Guinan) will be appearing in the third season of Fox’s Glee.
Glee is a “musical comedy about a group of eager and ambitious students who strive to outshine their singing competition to win Nationals while navigating the cruel halls of McKinley High.”
Whoopi Goldberg found something in Star Trek to which she could personally relate.
When watching the original series, Goldberg found it had something that other science fiction shows of the time were missing.
