Fuller spoke about his desire to see Trek on television, and what he would like to see, while doing publicity for Hannibal, which he created and which will begin its second season next year.


Fuller’s Mockingbird Lane Pilot To Air

Although Bryan Fuller‘s Munsters reboot was not picked up for a full series, fans of the project will still get to see the pilot, just in time for Halloween.

Fuller (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Voyager) says that Mockingbird Lane is not finished yet.


Fuller To Produce New Television Drama

Bryan Fuller, best-known to Star Trek fans for his work on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager, will be the executive producer on a new drama series based on a younger version of an infamous movie character.

Gaumont International Television and Fuller will produce the new series, based on Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs.


Fuller To Remake The Munsters

Former Star Trek Writer/Co-producer Bryan Fuller is working on a remake of the 1960s TV classic The Munsters.

Fuller (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Heroes, Pushing Daisies), who has a development deal with NBC, is said to be working on a pilot for the reboot of the popular creepy sitcom.

The Munsters was the story of the Munster family; the Frankenstein-like Herman (Fred Gwynne), vampire wife Lily (Yvonne De Carlo), vampire grandpa (Al Lewis), werewolf son Eddie (Butch Patrick) and normal niece Marilyn (Beverly Owen/Pat Priest). The show ran from 1964-1966.

According to EW, the new The Munsters is being described as “modern family meets True Blood.”

Fuller’s Pushing Daisies Lives On

Star Trek Writer/Co-producer Bryan Fuller‘s series Pushing Daisies lasted a mere two seasons on television, but has been granted new life as a comic.

Pushing Daisies centered on pie-maker Ned, who had the magical ability to bring back to life anyone or anything that was dead with a single touch. There were two “catches” though; if he touched the revived person/plant/animal again, it died forever, and if something remained alive for more than a minute, something or someone else in close proximity had to die to equal out things. Ned used his unique talent to help solve unexplained murders.


Fuller Wants New Star Trek Show

Former Star Trek Writer/Co-producer Bryan Fuller would like to create a new Star Trek series for television.

As reported by Den of Geek!, Fuller would like to return to the spirit of the original series. “I told my agent and told the people of J.J. Abrams‘s team I want to create another Star Trek series and have an idea that I’m kicking around. I would love to return to the spirit of the old series with the colors and attitude. I loved Voyager and Deep Space Nine, but they seem to have lost the ’60s fun and I would love to take it back to its origin. (more…)
