In The Birthday Party, a new episode of Fresh Hell, Brent Spiner is reduced to playing a familiar Star Trek character in hopes of obtaining a better role.
In Fresh Hell, Spiner plays a character who wants nothing more than to return to acting and to earn back respect, but both “The Incident” (an unmentioned faux pas that caused his fall from grace), and his most famous role as Data keep getting in the way of that goal.
The second season of Brent Spiner‘s Fresh Hell will begin on Friday, but will fans ever find out what “the incident” was that made his character in the “situation-tragedy” fall from grace?
According to TrekMovie.com, Spiner said fans can expect a diverse emotional response when watching this season’s Fresh Hell. “You’ll laugh; you’ll cry; you’ll be glad you aren’t me,” he said.
Fans of Brent Spiner‘s Fresh Hell webseries will be able to see more episodes beginning this week.
The second series of Fresh Hell debuts this Friday on YouTube on the Freshhellserie’s channel.
In Fresh Hell, Spiner plays the part of a celebrity who has fallen from grace after committing some unmentioned faux pas, referred to as “The Incident.”
Spiner wants nothing more than to return to acting and to earn back respect, but both “The Incident” and his most famous role as Data keep getting in the way of that goal.
In his webseries Fresh Hell, Spiner is having a great time making fun of both himself and Hollywood.
“I did a project with a guy named Chris Ellis, who’s a director, quite by accident,” said Spiner, explaining how Fresh Hell came to be. “We wound up having lunch and I ran this by him. He thought it was a really fun idea and he said, “Let me talk to a friend of mine who’s a writer, Harry Hannigan. I think he’s the perfect guy to write something like this.”
Although Star Trek: The Next Generation has been off of the air for years, Brent Spiner has kept busy, with his recent work including a guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory and his work on his Fresh Hell Internet series.
Spiner will be seen on The Big Bang Theory tomorrow evening, along with Wil Wheaton. “It’s very brief,” he said regarding his role in the episode, where he plays himself. “It’s not even a cameo. It’s a cam.”
