Ellison: NOT Looking For Star Trek Job

Writer Harlan Ellison set the record straight when he responded to articles reporting that he wouldn’t mind getting involved with J. J. AbramsStar Trek.

Last month, Ellison told readers of his “Art Deco Dining Pavilion” that he wouldn’t mind working for Abrams. “I would jump at the chance to work with the inordinately-talented J.J. Abrams on a new Star Trek film,” he said.

Ellison: I’d Work For J.J.

Writer Harlan Ellison thinks highly of J.J. Abrams and wouldn’t hesitate to get involved with the Star Trek XI sequel if he were contacted.

Paramount lawsuit or not, Ellison would answer the phone if Abrams called. “I would jump at the chance to work with the inordinately-talented J.J. Abrams on a new Star Trek film,” Abrams told his blog readers.

Ellison Star Trek Lawsuit Settled

Harlan Ellison is satisfied with the settlement of his lawsuit against Paramount.

Ellison filed suit against Paramount and the Writers Guild of America in March, looking for an accounting and payment from merchandising, publishing and other exploitations of his famous teleplay, The City on the Edge of Forever.

Ellison Sues Paramount

Harlan Ellison, writer of the award-winning City on the Edge of Forever original series episode, filed suit against Paramount on March 13 for failing to account to, or pay Ellison for the merchandising, publishing or any other exploitations of his famous teleplay.

As reported by Harlanellison.com, the lawsuit also names the Writers Guild of America, alleging that the WGA failed to act on Ellison’s behalf after numerous requests. (more…)
