A gag reel from Star Trek XI has hit the Internet ahead of the November 17th release of the DVD and Blu-ray sets.

Laughter, bleeped expletives, dancing, drumming, and other hijinks makes the six-minute-plus gag reel seem like it finishes in only half the time.

Two shows that Gene Roddenberry developed after Star Trek will be offered on DVD beginning next Tuesday.

After Star Trek was canceled, Roddenberry developed Genesis II and Planet Earth. 1973′s Genesis II was about a NASA scientist (Dylan Hunt, played by Alex Cord,) who wakes up in a post-apocalyptic Earth in 2133 due to a suspended animation failure. He is discovered by the “PAX” team who are some of the last remaining scientists left in the world.

The final box artwork for the three DVD sets of Star Trek XI has been released.

Star Trek XI is coming out in three versions: a three-disc Blu-ray set, and both a single and a double disc DVD set. All three sets can now be pre-ordered at Amazon.

On November 17th, the second volume of The Best of Star Trek: The Next Generation will be released.

Four “best of” episodes have been announced for The Best of Star Trek: The Next Generation – Volume Two. Two of the episodes are from the fifth season of The Next Generation and two episodes are from the sixth season.

On November 17th, the second volume of The Best of Star Trek (original series) will be released.

Four “best of” episodes have been announced for The Best of Star Trek – Volume Two. Two of the episodes are from the first season of the original series; Where No Man Has Gone Before and Space Seed.

In Where No Man Has Gone Before, after going through an energy barrier at the edge of the galaxy, Kirk and crew have to deal with the godlike powers acquired by Kirk’s good friend Gary Mitchell and stop him from destroying them.

Box art for the forthcoming original series second season Blu-ray DVD set as well as for some of the Star Trek movies has been released.

The box art for some of the September Star Trek Blu-ray and DVD movie sets has been released.

As reported by TrekMovie.com, box art for the Star Trek: The Next Generation Motion Picture Collection (both Blu-Ray and DVD) and for the Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection is now online.

These DVD sets will be available on September 22, but have not yet been offered for pre-order.
