Neil Armstrong’s Star Trek Wish

Footage of the “Beam Me Up One Last Time Scotty” convention has been found by James Doohan‘s widow Wende, and in the video, which can now be seen online, Neil Armstrong speaks about his Star Trek wish.

The reclusive Armstrong wasn’t big on public appearances, but he came to the convention in 2004 to honor his “fellow engineer” Scotty who had just received his star on the Walk of Fame.

Beam Me Up, SpaceX, PLEASE? UPDATED

Will the third time be the charm for the attempt to launch James Doohan‘s ashes into space?

Before he passed away in 2005, Star Trek‘s Doohan requested that his ashes be launched into space. Two years later, it seemed that his wishes would be fulfilled, but the capsule with his ashes ended up in the desert of New Mexico.

Kane: Kelley and Doohan

Voice actor Tom Kane, a fan of Star Trek from his childhood days, got to work with his heroes when doing voice work for Star Trek games.

“Being a voice-over guy in Hollywood has afforded me some really amazingly wonderful encounters with people that just never would have happened anywhere else,” Kane said.
