The voices of two familiar Star Trek actors will be heard in Tales From Beyond, a new paranormal audio drama series currently fundraising.
The Star Trek actors involved with Tales From Beyond are John de Lancie and Robert Picardo.

John de Lancie explained what he liked about his The Next Generation character Q, and what he felt worked best for the character.
De Lancie put his own particular brand on the character beginning in the pilot. “…The only place that [director] Corey [Allen] and I had a difference of opinion … is that Corey wanted Q to be straighter than I thought he should be.”

Recently, a design contest for Star Trek T-shirts was held and now it is time for two Trek celebrities and for fans to judge the designs submitted.
Three lucky fans who rate the shirts will be eligible to win a shirt with the winning design.

Last weekend, fans attending the Calgary Expo in Calgary, Canada were able to see the entire cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation, plus surprise guest John de Lancie.
Over fifty thousand fans attended the weekend event, with the highlight of the convention being the TNG:EXPOsed event which took place Saturday evening.

John de Lancie, Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Q, will be appearing twice this weekend with the Rochester (New York) Philharmonic Orchestra.
De Lancie will narrate two performances of a classic children’s story The Sneetches, originally written by Dr. Seuss, as part of the RPO’s OrKIDStra family series.

John de Lancie, Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Q, will be voicing the lead role in Quantum Conundrum.
In Quantum Conundrum, “players take on the role of a young kid dropped off on his uncle’s doorstep for the weekend; his uncle just so happens to be the brilliant, eccentric inventor, Professor Fitz Quadwrangle.”

John de Lancie, best known to Star Trek fans as Q, will be cast as one of the elders on The Secret Circle.
De Lancie will first appear in episode nineteen of the first season, which will probably air next month.
Playing Amanda Rogers, a reluctant female Q, was an interesting challenge for actress Olivia D’Abo.
D’Abo found Rogers to be compelling due to the challenges and potential of the character. “She was actually a lot of fun to play and I think I was more interested and challenged by how she dealt with the obstacles she had to overcome in the storyline,” said d’Abo. “I had fun discovering and revealing her inner conflicts and where the possibilities lived inside her.”
Fans who missed out on the original release of the Alien Voices audio dramas from Leonard Nimoy and John de Lancie can now order these dramas as digital downloads.
Other Star Trek actors from four of the five televised series can also be heard on the audio dramas.
John de Lancie, best-known to Star Trek fans as the mischievous Q, shared a bit of information regarding the character he will be playing in the last three episodes of STARZ’s Torchwood: Miracle Day.
In Torchwood: Miracle Day, viewers are asked to “Imagine a day when nobody dies. All across the world, nobody dies. And then the next day, and the next, and the next, people keep aging. They get hurt and sick but they never die.”
Several familiar Star Trek actors will be appearing in the Starz original Torchwood: Miracle Day.
Last month, TrekToday reported that actor John De Lancie would be appearing in Torchwood: Miracle Day. Today, it was announced that another Trek actor would also be appearing in the series.
John De Lancie, Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Q, will be a guest star on Torchwood: Miracle Day.
Torchwood writer Jane Espenson shared the news via Twitter. “I just this minute got permission to tell about the Torchwood guest star I was tweeting about,” she told her followers. “Two great Sci Fi fandoms collide.”
Fans know him as the mischievous Q, but John de Lancie will take on a different role when he presents an opera master class at Texas State this week.
De Lancie, who can list opera director as well as actor on his resume, will be presenting the master class this week. The class will focus on acting as it relates to roles in opera.
Classic Trek stars George Takei (Sulu) and Walter Koenig (Chekov) updated fans on their latest projects while Q actor John de Lancie bantered with attendees at the Las Vegas Hilton on the first day of the annual Las Vegas Star Trek Creation Entertainment convention.
John de Lancie, who portrayed “Q” in Star Trek: The Next Generation through Star Trek: Voyager, talked about his role as the omnipotent troublemaker.
Although Q was a troublemaker and a nuisance for several Trek captains, de Lancie did not consider him a villain. “Q was never a villain as far as I was concerned … I might have been arrogant and badly flawed and all that, but I never thought of the character as a villain.”
