Star Trek‘s Zoe Saldana walked away with an award at last week’s 2012 NCLR ALMA Awards.
The ALMA awards highlight the best American Latino contributions to film, music and television.
After playing characters that aren’t afraid to kick a little butt, Star Trek XI‘s Zoë Saldana is sometimes compared to Angelina Jolie, which makes her a little uncomfortable.
“If I think about it in that fashion than yes (it’s scary,)” Saldana said. “I wouldn’t want to think about it in that way.”
If all goes well, Zoë Saldana will be starring in Colombiana, a drama produced by Luc Besson.
Saldana is in talks for the starring role as a “stone-cold” assassin who is seeking revenge for the murder of her parents.
