A trailer for the John Landis black comedy Burke and Hare, in which Simon Pegg plays grave robber/serial killer William Burke, is online for fans to watch.

In Edinburgh, Scotland, William Burke and William Hare murdered seventeen people between 1827-1828 so that they could sell the bodies of the victims to Edinburgh Medical College for research purposes.

Pegg: Burke And Hare Darkly Funny

Simon Pegg, best known to Star Trek fans as Scotty in Star Trek XI, is starring in John Landis‘ black comedy Burke And Hare, the story of two grave robbers turned serial killers.

In Edinburgh, Scotland, between 1827-1828, William Burke and William Hare murdered seventeen people so that they could sell the bodies of the victims to Edinburgh Medical College for research purposes.

Pegg Joins ‘Burke And Hare’

Simon Pegg (Scotty) will star in the black comedy Burke and Hare, directed by John Landis.

Burke and Hare, written by Piers Ashworth and Nick Moorcroft, will tell the story of gruesome murders that occurred in Edinburgh, Scotland, between 1827-1828. Killers William Burke and William Hare murdered seventeen people and then sold the bodies of their victims to Edinburgh Medical College for research purposes.

Currently, Pegg can be seen in Paul, a movie about two British comic book geeks taking a road trip across America. Paul is currently in post-production and is due out next year.
