Trek Art Directors Guild Nomination

Star Trek into Darkness has been nominated for another award, this one from the Art Directors Guild (ADG).

The ADG has ten categories of awards for production design in movies, television, commercials and music videos.

Another Star Trek XI-related person received a nomination for his work on the film.

Scott Chambliss was nominated for a 2009 Art Directors Guild awards for his work on Star Trek XI.

010810ScottChamblissThe Art Directors Guild Awards are given out for three categories of films; contemporary, period and fantasy films. Star Trek XI is classified in the fantasy film category.

The other contenders for the award in the fantasy film category are:

  • Rick Carter, Robert Stromberg (Avatar)
  • Philip Ivey (District 9)
  • Stuart Craig (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince)
  • K.K. Barrett (Where the Wild things Are)

Winners will be announced at a ceremony at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel on February 13.
