The Next Generation Cast Calgary Expo Reunion

Last weekend, fans attending the Calgary Expo in Calgary, Canada were able to see the entire cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation, plus surprise guest John de Lancie.

Over fifty thousand fans attended the weekend event, with the highlight of the convention being the TNG:EXPOsed event which took place Saturday evening.

Star Trek XI‘s Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have signed a new production deal with Universal Pictures.

The deal is a two-year, “first-look” production deal.

De Lancie To Appear With RPO

John de Lancie, Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Q, will be appearing twice this weekend with the Rochester (New York) Philharmonic Orchestra.

De Lancie will narrate two performances of a classic children’s story The Sneetches, originally written by Dr. Seuss, as part of the RPO’s OrKIDStra family series.

IDW Publishing Comics For May

Takei Supports Social Security Bill

Star Trek‘s George Takei appeared in Washington, D.C. yesterday in support of The Social Security Equality Act bill (H.R. 4609), introduced by California Representative Linda Sánchez.

H.R. 4609 would eliminate the Social Security Administration policy which denies certain benefits to same-sex couples.

Saldana: I Want Children

Space Shuttle Enterprise Lands At JFK

The Space Shuttle Enterprise made its last flight today, departing this morning piggybacked atop a 747 from Washington, D.C., and arriving at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

On hand to greet the arrival of the Enterprise was Star Trek‘s Leonard Nimoy, in town for the occasion.

Star Trek 2 Co-writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will be turning their talents to the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man.

The Amazing Spider-Man will open this summer, and the sequel to it, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, will appear on movie screens in May of 2014.
