Star Trek XI‘s Zoë Saldana will be joining Megan Fox (Transformers) in a new Paramount “action-heist” film, Swindle.
The pairing of Saldana and Fox came out of the desire of the two actresses to work together in a film.
Developed by Michael De Luca (Moneyball), Swindle was written by Enzo Mileti and Scott Wilson, and will be produced by De Luca, Saldana and Fox.
The storyline for Swindle is being kept secret for now.

Star Trek XI’s Simon Pegg may guest star in the pilot of a new TNT drama.
The new drama, L.A. Noir, is a period drama about a cop working in “an era of rampant police corruption,” and would center on the 1940s-1950s “epic battle” between Los Angeles Police Chief William Parker (Neil McDonough) and boxer-turned-mobster Mickey Cohen.
If Pegg signs on for L.A. Noir, he would join Jon Bernthal (Walking Dead), McDonough and Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes), who have already signed on for the project.
L.A. Noir will be written and directed by Frank Darabont (Walking Dead), who will also executive produce the series along with Michael De Luca (The Social Network) and Elliot Webb (TallTime Tales).

If a Twitter posting by Writer/Director Edgar Wright and Star Trek XI‘s Simon Pegg‘s blog picture today are to be believed, the two men have turned their attentions to The World’s End.
Pegg’s blog shows the two standing in front of a chart that says, “The World’s End,” while Wright’s Twitter picture show the same picture, with the caption, “Hard at work.”
The World’s End would complete a trilogy which began with 2004′s Shaun of the Dead and 2007′s Hot Fuzz.
