Sutherland Passes

Hal Sutherland, co-founder of Filmation Studios, passed away recently.

Sutherland was the director of the first season of Star Trek: The Animated Series.

Four more art prints are seen, based on More Troubles, More Tribbles, The Survivor, The Infinite Vulcan, and The Magicks of Megas-Tu.


Ortiz Trek Animated Series Posters

Artist Juan Ortiz, creator of eighty art prints based on the original series, will now be making new posters based on Star Trek: The Animated Series.

Twenty-two prints based on The Animated Series episodes will be produced.


TAS On Blu-Ray?

According to Robert Meyer Burnett, who was one of the persons responsible for the new bonus features on last year’s Blu-ray release of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Trek fans can look forward to a Blu-ray release of The Animated Series.

The Animated Series was originally released on DVD in 2006.
