Voyage Trekkers Returns

Voyage Trekkers, a comedy webseries features the “worst starship crew in the Galactic Union,” has returned for a second season with Revenge of the Lizard Men, Part 1.

The Voyage Trekkers webseries, created by Nathan Blackwell and Craig Michael Curtis, began in December 2010.

Web Cooking Show Features Trek Cuisine

Sorry Shatner; No Vulcan!

Back in February, TrekToday reported that William Shatner‘s campaign to have one of two Pluto moons given the name Vulcan had resulted in a first place finish in the voting, but today comes the news that the International Astronomical Union (IAU) has thumbed its nose at the voters.

Vulcan had finished first in the voting, with 174,062 votes, followed by Cerberus which was second with 99,432 votes.

There will be seventeen conventions, shows or appearances in July and August that feature actors of interest to Star Trek fans. This listing of conventions and shows features actors from all of the televised series and several of the Star Trek movies.

July begins with the Florida Supercon, which will be held July 4-7 at the Miami Airport Convention Center in Miami, Florida. In attendance will be George Takei.

Restored Shuttle Galileo To Land In Texas

Once the Star Trek Shuttlecraft Galileo is fully restored this summer, it will have a permanent home in Houston, Texas.

The Galileo will be landing at Space Center Houston as a permanent exhibition.

USS Enterprise To Sail Again

Another Trek Costume World Record Attempt

Last autumn, an event in London set the Guinness World’s Record for most people dressed in Star Trek costumes, but this summer’s Las Vegas Official Star Trek Convention seeks to reclaim the title.

The Vegas event had previously held the record, with 1040 fans dressed in Trek costumes, but the London event topped that by twenty-three.
