Mack: IDIC Means Everyone

The unnamed fan was upset over a same-sex relationship depicted in Mack’s Star Trek: Vanguard: Harbinger novel.

Trek Fans Wed At Vegas Trek Con

Star Trek fans Mark Restucci, 47, and Amy Campbell, 49, are the first Trek fans to ever tie the knot at the annual Official Star Trek Convention held in Las Vegas.

The couple was married August 1, in a ceremony that recreated the Next Generation wedding of Riker and Troi.

Star Trek: Prelude to Axanar Online Debut

The Gene Roddenberry Project Kickstarter

A Kickstarter project by James and Trude Forscher seeks to fund a documentary “exploring the genesis of Star Trek through the personal insight of its creator.”

The documentary will feature Forscher’s interview with Gene Roddenberry, which was recently found after being missing for almost thirty years, and interviews with surviving cast members.

Next Weekend: Shore Leave 36!

Shore Leave 36 takes place next weekend, August 1-3, and although pre-registration is closed, tickets still remain for the event and can be purchased at the door.

Trek guest stars this year include Star Trek: Voyager‘s Robert Picardo and Michael Welch (Star Trek: Insurrection). Leonard Nimoy will be making a guest appearance via Skype. The eighty-three-year-old Nimoy is only doing convention appearances via Skype now, and his Skype appearance at Away Mission in Tampa earlier this year was very well-received by attendees.
