Klingon lovers rejoice; a Klingon Captain will be part of the Star Trek: Discovery Crew!
According to sources connected with the project, the crew will include “an openly gay actor as one of the male leads, a female admiral, a male Klingon captain, a male admiral, a male advisor, and a British male doctor.” These are in addition to the female main character who will be the focus.
It seems like in one regard, things haven’t changed. The roster is still light on women. More often that not, a Trek series is comprised of five males and two females.
