Star Trek Beyond In China

1 min read

Star Trek Beyond will release in China on September 2, but cast members and director Justin Lin are already in Beijing to promote the movie.

Lin joined Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana and Simon Pegg for a red carpet event yesterday.

“[Chinese fans] want to escape and to really kind of just enjoy, have fun, laugh and enjoy big action, and I feel like this movie is tailor-made for the Chinese audience,” said Lin.

“No matter what language you speak, what race, will find humanity in the film side,” said Pine. “The Star Trek series doesn’t have superheroes, but real characters instead. Chinese fans can also be moved.”

Pine, Pegg, Quinto and Saldana posed at the Great Wall of China with fans and Pegg posted the picture to his Twitter feed.

Zachary Quinto posted a photo of the actors clowning around on his Instagram account, saying “an epic pre-flight love pile before takeoff from Beijing to Guangzhou.”
