1 min read

A new Star Trek book by Mark A. Altman and Edward Gross will be the first of two books detailing the fifty-year history of Star Trek.

The Fifty-Year Mission: The Complete, Uncensored, Unauthorized Oral History of Star Trek: The First 25 Years goes on sale June 28.

The Fifty-Year Mission is a no-holds-barred oral history of five decades of Star Trek, told by the people who were there. Hear from the hundreds of television and film executives, programmers, writers, creators and cast as they unveil the oftentimes shocking story of Star Trek‘s ongoing fifty-year mission.”

This first book covers the original series, and the second book (The Next 25 Years) takes up the history of Star Trek from The Next Generation to the J.J. Abrams-verse.

The Fifty-Year Mission books are “great both for Star Trek fans and any fans of pop culture or with an interest in peeking behind the curtain of a television touchstone.”
