Caltech Star Trek Parody

1 min read

Two brothers have written a family-friendly Star Trek musical.

The musical, titled Boldly Go! will make its debut on February 26 at Caltech.

The two brothers, Grant Remmen (who attends Caltech) and Cole Remmen decided to “combine their love of musical theater” with Star Trek after seeing Star Trek into Darkness.

The result is a two-and-a-half hour musical, featuring nineteen songs. Boldly Go! “pokes fun at the tropes of Star Trek and musical comedies in general, with the crew of the Enterprise dealing with Klingons, Spock’s struggle with emotions, a chorus of short-lived redshirts and a mysterious threat.”

“All sorts of mayhem happens,” said Cole Remmen.

Boldly Go! begins Friday February 26 and runs through March 5 at TACIT (Theater Arts at Caltech) in Pasadena. For more information on times and ticket prices, head to the link located here.
