There will be four IDW Publishing Star Trek comics released in January 2016.

The titles include: Star Trek #53 – Five Year Mission, Star Trek Volume 11, Star Trek New Visions: Mister Chekov, and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy #2.

Star Trek #53 – Five Year Mission is an “all-new adventure, [which] begins as Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise face off with a renegade faction of Orions intent on disrupting the truce between their species and the Federation.”

Written by Mike Johnson, with artwork and a cover by Tony Shasteen, Star Trek #53 will be thirty-two pages in length and will cost $3.99. Look for a subscription variant cover.

Star Trek Volume 11 features The Tholian Web and Deity (issues #46-49), and Flesh and Stone. Written by Mike Johnson, Scott Tipton, and David Tipton, this issue features art by Rachael Stott, Tony Shasteen, and The Sharp Bros. The cover was created by Joe Corroney.

One-hundred-and-twenty pages in length, Star Trek Volume 11 issue will cost $19.99.

Star Trek New Visions: Mister Chekov was written by and features photo-manipulation by John Byrne. In this issue, “fans meet Pavel Chekov as the navigator on the Bridge, but what roles did he play aboard the Enterprise before his promotion to the starboard seat? Find out as we go below decks.”

Star Trek New Visions: Mister Chekov will be forty-eight pages in length, and will cost $7.99.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy #2 is the second of five stories in the Starfleet Academy series. In this issue, “what is the mystery at the heart of Starfleet that connects this new crew to Kirk, Spock and rest of the iconic cast? The answers are inside, in this all-new adventure set in the new film universe.”

Written by Mike Johnson and Ryan Parrott, with art and cover by Derek Charm, the thirty-two page issue will cost $3.99. There will be variant covers for subscribers.
