Star Trek Beyond Release Date Moved

1 min read

Fans waiting to see Star Trek Beyond next year will have to wait a little longer.

The release date, formerly set for July 8, will now be July 22, 2016.

According to sources, the move was made so that Star Trek Beyond would get more IMAX theater showings. Had it released on July 8 as planned, Tarzan (releasing July 1) has the priority when it comes to the IMAX theaters.

Star Trek Beyond will now be in competition with King Arthur and Ice Age: Collision Course. Other movies releasing in July include Ghostbusters (July 15) and the new Bourne movie (July 29).

  1. Ooh, and I had hoped they would move the release date to July 2216 so that nobody from our generation would have to see this.

  2. With so many fan-made movies being made these days, it’s not until I reached the IMAX mention that I realized this is the big-budget movie. I hope the movie is more memorable than its name.nn(it probably will be, but not for the good reasons)

  3. Boy, I can’t wait for that powertripping bully M’Sharak to condescend to everyone here on the forums about it for years to come! Oh wait, he’s already doing that. Never mind.

  4. we need to petition the movie makers or cbs to reboot. voyage for another 7 yrs of new episodes.kate mulgrew was asked at the vegas convention if she would do it again and all nine of them said yes. that would be so awesome and as far as iam concerned it was the best series ever made.it can be done. if you watched all of them which i have the last one the end game was left wide open so lets get on the ball and really tell them thank you rick oconnor

  5. The owners of Bed, Bath & Beyond are key sponsors so expect some housewares product placement on the U.S.S. Appleprise.

  6. With great fan series like Star Trek Continues being made and turning out more than one episode per year I personally DO NOT CARE when they release this Star Wars wanna’ be. Make Star Trek Continues a Netflix series and don’t make anymore of these Star Wars clones.

  7. Maybe….its an idea that the Paramount studio te produce a Star Trek Voyager Reunion movie that could lead to a new series?
