An April Fool’s Day joke from ThinkGeek has become reality.

Last year, ThinkGeek posted a fake story about a USS Enterprise flying disc, and this year, the product has actually been made.

The Star Trek USS Enterprise Flying Disc can now be ordered from ThinkGeek. The ten-inch disc is made of plastic, and the body of the ship is made of foam.

According to ThinkGeek, “The saucer section spins freely, and the secondary hull actually stabilizes and flies behind it. The result? A U.S.S. Enterprise you can easily throw and catch.”

The fun little item is a tad pricey for a Frisbee-type toy, coming in at $24.99. To order the Star Trek USS Enterprise Flying Disc, head to the link located here.

  1. If I recall they proto’ed it for a video. One of those “Why didn’t I think of that???” ideas.
