Simon Pegg will be part of Monty Python‘s forthcoming sci-fi comedy, Absolutely Anything.

In Absolutely Anything, a teacher is given magical powers by a group of aliens.

Pegg will be taking on the role of Neil Clarke, the school teacher.

A big fan of Monty Python, Pegg is thrilled to be working with them. “As someone whose love of comedy was hugely informed by Monty Python, the chance to work with Terry [Jones] was a gift,” he said. “Meeting your heroes is one thing – working with them is something else.”

“Simon Pegg is the absolutely perfect Neil,” said Monty Python‘s Terry Jones.

Monty Python won’t be appearing live on screen in the movie, but will instead be voicing CG versions of their extraterrestrial aliens.

Robin Williams will also be in Absolutely Anything, as Pegg’s “trusty four-legged sidekick.”

Production on the movie begins next spring.
