Star Trek into Darkness’ Anton Yelchin is now working in Joe Dante‘s Burying the Dead.

He will be taking on the role of Max in the horror comedy.

In Burying the Dead, young couple Max (Yelchin) and Evelyn (Ashley Greene), “experience a rocky road when Evelyn moves in, and Max learns how controlling she can be. Terrified to break up with her, Max would seem to have been given a new lease on life when Evelyn dies in a freak accident, allowing him to woo Olivia (Alexandra Daddario). Of course, things start to get a little weird when Evelyn rises from the dead.”

Burying the Dead was written by Alan Trezza. Production on the movie will begin next week.
