Three new IDW Publishing Star Trek comics will be released in February 2014.

The comics include Star Trek: Khan #5, Star Trek: The Star Date Collection, Vol. 2: Under the Command of Christopher Pike, and Star Trek #30.

STK5-111513Star Trek: Khan #5 continues the story of the origins of Khan. Find out how he became known as John Harrison, and how his vendetta against Admiral Marcus and Section 31 began.

Written by Mike Johnson, with art by David Messina and cover by Paul Shipper, Star Trek: Khan #5 is overseen by Roberto Orci.

Star Trek: Khan #5 is thirty-two pages in length and will sell for $3.99.

Star Trek: The Star Date Collection, Vol. 2: Under the Command of Christopher Pike “continues to collect the many comic-book iterations of Trek ‘as they happened’… by stardate,” and “completes the early voyages of the Enterprise under the command of Captain Christopher Pike, and wraps up with two lost adventures from Pike’s career.”

Writers include Ian Edgington, Stuart Moore, Scott Tipton, and David Tipton. Artists for the issue include Patrick Zircher, J.K. Woodward, and Elena Casagrande.

Three hundred pages in length, Star Trek: The Star Date Collection, Vol. 2: Under the Command of Christopher Pike will sell for $49.99.

ST30-111513The third comic to be released next February is Star Trek #30. In this issue, “Captain Jane Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise fight for their lives in this concluding chapter of a two-part story.”

Written by Mike Johnson, with art by Yasmin Liang and a cover by Cat Staggs, Star Trek #30 is overseen by Roberto Orci.

The thirty-two page issue will sell for $3.99.
