The ever-busy Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have taken on another project, the third Amazing Spider-Man movie.

The Star Trek into Darkness co-writers and Jeff Pinkner will take on the writing duties for the next Amazing Spider-Man movie, which is due to release in 2016.

The three had written the last Amazing Spider-Man movie, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which is due out next spring.

Andrew Garfield will probably return as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the movie, and the villains are expected to be Elektro and The Rhino, with bad guys Norman and Harry Osborne also returning.

Kurtzman and Orci will also be working on Star Trek 3, Universal’s The Mummy reboot, and an adaptation of Locke & Key.

  1. It’s a stretch for them. Porn would be the type of movie they’d be most appropriate for. And in between last-minute rewrites on set they can double as apprentice fluffers.

  2. Even then they could only recycle. Who needs a reboot of Debbie Does Dallas? (Now, maybe if they remade some Joe Gage* films I’d be interested, but JJ’s lens flares would ruin it. AND he’d get the pubes all wrong).
Warning: do not google Joe Gage at work.
