Pine: Into The Woods

1 min read

Chris Pine has been cast in a new Disney film.

The film is Into The Woods, a feature film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine‘s “fairy tale-themed musical.”

Pine will be taking on the role of Cinderella’s Prince.

Others cast in Into the Woods include Meryl Streep, James Corden, Emily Blunt, Johnny Depp, Anna Kendrick, Billy Magnussen, Mackenzie Mauzy, Lucy Punch, Tammy Blanchard, Christine Baranski, and Tracey Ullman.

Into the Woods “intertwines the plots” of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales including Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella, and the story is “tied together by an original story including a baker and his wife, and their quest to begin a family, and their interaction with a witch and her curse on them.”

Into the Woods will begin shooting in the UK next week.
