Some clever sleuthing by TrekMovie.com on the AreYouThe1701.com website has uncovered a file about Star Trek into Darkness‘ John Harrison.

The PDF file is two pages in length, and reproduced below the cut. Note: There are spoilers, so if you’ve not yet seen the movie, wait until you do before you read the rest of this article.

In the memo, a security review reveals that Harrison has “detoured from his ordered assignment” and that it is a high priority to capture him, but those in pursuit of the rogue agent are warned that they should use “extreme caution when engaging target.”

There you go with that logic sense and reason thing again. That’s just too much to ask for in a screenplay. Or so I get told repeatedly.

Wait. Excuse me. Wait. This just struck me.
So 250 years from now, classified reports will still be on paper? Which appears to be typed? And spellcheck is still not widely used? Really?
The longevity of Marks-A-Lot I can accept.

Guess no spell check in the trek universe. Route not Rout.

  • John (not McCain)

Like Jadzia said, classic 23rd century design. It was a very retro 100 years.

The paper clip is a bit much though.
